The hose
the central unit
retracts.
The Retraflex is a retractable hose: it is stored in its PVC network. Pull out the length you need, vacuum. Release the handle — the central unit's suction power pulls the hose back into its sheath. No more manual winding.
The central unit
also sucks in
the hose.
The hose is stored in a pre-installed PVC sheath (duct) running inside the walls or under the floor slab. At the wall box, the handle locks or unlocks the hose. Once unlocked, the central unit's suction draws the hose back into its sheath.
It is the same suction power that picks up dust that retracts the hose — no motor, no battery, no spring. The PVC sheath should limit 90° bends: ideally use 45° bends. For a 15 m hose, allow approximately 17 m of sheath (15 m + safety margin).
In 4 steps
- 01 Open the wall box flap
- 02 Pull out the required length and lock
- 03 Vacuum normally
- 04 Unlock — the central unit retracts the hose

Domestic use
The Retraflex Soft Touch is recommended for homeowners. Everyday vacuuming comfort, finish protection and silence in living areas make the Soft Touch the reference solution for residential use.
Professional use
The R-Flex is the default recommendation for professionals. Easy to disinfect, simple maintenance, intensive use possible. For professional environments, the hose type is agreed with AspiWall based on the specific use.
What is included
with each hose.
Each retractable hose comes with its installation kit. These elements are in addition to the main central vacuum network. kits-installation.
Retractable wall box
The visible inlet in the room. This is where you pull the hose out and where the central unit retracts it back into its network. Discreet, at skirting-board height.
Installation kit
Fixing plate, bends, sleeve and instructions: everything needed to connect the retractable wall box to the PVC network cleanly and durably.
PVC network — 20 m bundle
The PVC network serves as the hose's storage sheath. A 20 m bundle is provided per retractable hose, to cover the hose length and routing safety margin.
The central vacuum unit creates suction throughout the PVC network. When you unlock the hose at the wall box, this suction is applied inside the sheath and draws the hose back in. The same power that picks up dust also retracts the hose — no motor, no battery.
For everyday domestic use, the Retraflex Soft Touch is recommended: more comfortable to hold, it protects walls and furniture thanks to its textile coating. The R-Flex is preferable for professional environments where hygiene and ease of disinfection are a priority (medical practice, hair salon).
This is possible in certain cases. The PVC sheath can sometimes run under the ceiling of a basement, cellar or garage to serve living areas without opening all the floor screeds. AspiWall assesses feasibility from plans or on site.
A 15 m hose is generally suitable for a two-storey house: it can cover both the ground floor and the first floor from a single wall box, depending on the layout. AspiWall advises on the length based on the wall box positions in your plans.
Blockages usually occur when there are too many 90° bends in the PVC sheath, or when the sheath is too short relative to the hose length. AspiWall recommends preferring 45° bends and allowing approximately 15–17% extra length on the hose for the sheath routing.
Yes, provided the central unit is compatible and the network is adequately sized. AspiWall checks compatibility with your installation and, if necessary, proposes an upgrade to the central unit or network.
