— Nurseries & childcare

A healthy floor
for the little ones.

In a nursery or day-care setting, children live on the floor: they crawl, play and sleep right among the dust and mites. A central vacuum cleans deeply and the suctioned air is discharged out of the living areas, never blown back where the little ones move around.

— A childcare setting's daily reality

Children on the floor
all day long.

Play mats, nap room, eating corner: in a day-care or crèche, everything happens on the floor, where fine dust, mites and crumbs build up. A standard vacuum stirs up this laden air and blows it back into the room where children play and sleep.

With a central vacuum, a simple wall inlet picks up dust, crumbs and debris deeply. The suctioned air is never blown back into the living areas: it is discharged where the central unit sits — a utility room, a ventilated crawl space or outside, depending on the installation. For an early-years setting, discharge outside is recommended, which limits the resuspension of fine dust into the air the children breathe. The hose type — retractable or traditional — is determined on site depending on use: discover our retractable hoses.

— Creating or fitting out your nursery?

The right moment
is now.

Creating a childcare setting, bringing premises up to standard, renovating: now is the ideal time to integrate a central vacuum, before flooring and finishes.

AspiWall sizes the central unit to the surface (activity rooms, nap rooms, eating corner) and places inlets where children spend the most time. Discover our approach for professional buildings.

PLAN FROM THE START

Rooms, naps, meals

  • An inlet near each activity room and nap room
  • Utility room for the central unit, discharge outside recommended
  • Ducts built into partitions before painting
  • Floor sweep door near the eating corner
— Standard vacuum vs central vacuum

Where does
the air go?

A standard vacuum, a robot or a stick vacuum filters part of the dust but blows the air back into the room where it runs. With an AspiWall central vacuum, the dirt is sent to the central unit and the vacuumed air is expelled out of the living areas or out of the occupied zones, which limits the re-suspension of fine dust. That is what makes the difference in buildings open to the public and places sensitive to dust.

— Made by Trovac

A benchmark for
air quality.

AspiWall offers central units in Belgium made by Trovac, among other manufacturers. Trovac's central vacuum system has been distinguished by AFPRAL (the French Association for Allergy Prevention) since July 2014. An important reference for buildings where air quality, dust, dust mites and allergens are sensitive matters.

Because the suctioned air is discharged out of the living areas or out of occupied zones, which limits the resuspension of fine dust. For a childcare setting, AspiWall recommends discharging outside: the dust and mites picked up off the floor do not come back into the air the children breathe, unlike a standard vacuum that blows back into the room.

No. The central unit's motor is installed in a separate utility room, away from the rooms. Near the inlet you only hear a light suction sound, far quieter than a canister vacuum starting up next to a nap room.

By default, the central unit is designed for dry vacuuming (dust, crumbs, debris). On request, AspiWall also offers wet & dry systems (water and dust), with a tank to empty or automatic drainage, to handle everyday little accidents too.

It depends on the surface and the number of rooms. Generally, one inlet per activity room, one per nap room and one near the eating corner. AspiWall provides a free study from plans or on site.

Yes, installation is possible in existing premises. Contact AspiWall to assess feasibility based on your childcare setting.
